FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to hydraulic control of downhole tools and particularly to methods and devices for determination of position/state of such hydro-driven devices. The downhole device for control of consumption of fluid flow from a formation to a borehole of the well consists of a valve element designed to travel in the borehole of the well. Working agent is pumped under pressure through the line of fluid medium and actuates the valve element to travel letting fluid into the borehole of the well. A well sensor connected to the line of fluid medium determines position of the valve element. The method consists in supply of fluid medium under pressure to device for control of consumption designed to move the control element of this device into a certain state. Pressure of supplied fluid medium and corresponding time interval for travel of the device for consumption control is registered. State of the device for consumption control is determined on base of measured pressure of supplied fluid medium.

EFFECT: upgraded accuracy of determination of position of device for consumption control.
