SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, namely to methods to propel a motor with the controlled setting of the cam distribution phases. The method for the motor includes regulation of a valve (300) depending of the operation condition. The valve (300) is attached to the hydraulic actuator (360) of the controlled phase setting of the distribution shaft (130) to initiate the distribution shaft phasing (130). The oil pressure control applied to the valve (300), is effected on the basis of the distribution shaft (130) phaser (220). The options of the method for the motor are also shown.
EFFECT: invention increases the speed of the oil pressure control.
