FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to mechanical engineering, particularly to drive chains. The crossing-doubled chain consists of links arranged at angle to each other. Each link consists of several layers of two assembled in pairs rows of fingers of connecting plates. External and internal fingers are spaced in a closed chain in two rows; also external fingers form an external row, while internal fingers form the internal one. Each level of the link consists of two tiers of connecting plates. The external row of fingers joins upper parts of the connecting plates at the lower tier of the link; while the internal row of the fingers joins lower parts of neighbour connecting plates with a set off by one plate. At the next tier of the link the external row of fingers joins upper parts of the connecting plates; while the internal row of the fingers joins lower parts of neighbour connecting plates with a set off by one plate to another side. Above and below each link contains support flanges.
EFFECT: decrease of impact loads experienced by link and of losses for friction of link-sprocket coupling.
