FIELD: physics; optics.
SUBSTANCE: device relates to optoelectronic equipment, particularly to scanners and deflectors for controlling position of an optical beam and switching it from one angular position to another, and can be used in laser location of objects. The device has a scanner with a composite mirror in form of a row of synchronously turning equidistant sections connected to a control voltage source. Sections of the composite mirror are spaced by a distance equal to the ratio of the radiation wavelength to mean angular distance between neighbouring positions of the optical beam in the angular positioning area, where the said spacing distance is a multiple of the width of the sections.
EFFECT: obtaining more accurate information on position of an object, where discreteness of angular coordinates of the object predetermines digital form of the information.
