FIELD: physics; acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of a device for tuning musical instruments. The device for tuning stringed musical instruments has a phonogram with twelve sound tracks rotating on a seven-step pulley. Each step of the pulley is made with given dimensions and rotates at a given speed. The device has a motor which rotates the pulley using a power belt worn around the step of the pulley and moved from one step of the pulley to the other, and an adapter with a light bulb placed over the phonogram with possibility of moving relative the phonogram. The signal from the adapter reaches a photocell placed under the phonogram, and is transmitted to the speaker of the device through a low frequency amplifier.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of tuning a musical instrument.
