SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a portable electronic communication device. The result is achieved due to that, the proposed method and device for displaying illumination distribution includes several areas illumination (202, 224, 226 and 228), where each of the several illumination areas (222-228) can glow in one or more colours and at an assigned frequency during an assigned time interval. The method and device are also provided with a processor (102) connected to each of the illumination areas (222-228) such that the processor can distribute (108) illumination in response to an activation instruction. Illumination distribution (108) provides selective activation and deactivation of at least one illumination area (222-228) through an illumination signal (110, 112) such that the device for displaying illumination distribution provides an additional level of personalising the device (100).
EFFECT: personalisation of the electronic device through visual display of illumination distribution and possibility of using illumination distribution as content.
