FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a halitosis detection system, a method of detecting halitosis and a computer-readable data medium, containing computer program code for prescription, when implemented in a detection system of halitosis. Halitosis detection system comprises gas sensor (116) for generating a sensor signal, warning about detection of compounds indicating halitosis exhaled through oral cavity. System has image sensor (114) for capturing image (500, 510) of the dental health and/or condition of the tongue in said oral cavity. System comprises processor (110) coupled to transmit data to the gas sensor and the image sensor. Processor is configured to process a sensor signal and an image in order to determine if a sensor signal notifies the presence of a connection indicating halitosis, whether said halitosis occurs from said oral cavity by determining the dental health and/or the state of the tongue in said image. Method (300) comprises a step of receiving (303) a sensor signal notifying the detection of compounds indicating halitosis exhaled through the oral cavity from the gas sensor. Method includes a stage of receiving (305) an image of the dental health and/or state of the tongue in said oral cavity from an image sensor. Method comprises processing step (307, 309) of a sensor signal and an image in order to determine, if a sensor signal notifies the presence of a halithic compound, whether said halitosis occurs from said oral cavity by determining the dental health and/or the state of the tongue in said image. Computer-readable data medium comprises a computer program code for prescribing, during execution in a halitosis detection system, a processor of said system to execute method (300) for detecting halitosis.

EFFECT: technical result is improved detection of a source of halitosis in a human.
