FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: hands-free set or handset has a screen for displaying communication information regarding the device, a sensor for providing a control signal and apparatus for controlling operation of the display screen which responds to the control signal. The device has a first move in which the display screen displays at least a small amount of information and a second mode in which the display screen uses less energy than in the first mode. The control signal enables switching between the first and second modes.
EFFECT: reduced power consumption of the communication device.
