SUBSTANCE: after two trial sessions of computer electroacupuncture, the predictive clinical effectiveness indicator (PCEI) is calculated by formula:

where RIref is an average value of electric resistance of all the pattern BAPs prior to the 1st session of therapy; RIfin is an average value of electric resistance of all the pattern BAPs after the 1st session of therapy; RIIref is an average value of electric resistance of all the pattern BAPs prior to the 2nd session of therapy; RIIfin is an average value of electric resistance of all the pattern BAPs after the 2nd session of therapy, and the positive PCEI not exceeding 1 ensures to estimate the predictive clinical effectiveness as high, while the PCEI being 1 and higher shows the average clinical effectiveness, and the low clinical effectiveness is provided by the negative PCEI.

EFFECT: method extends the range of the prognostic methods in treating bronchial asthma by electroacupuncture.
