FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: dihydrate of cobalt (II) oxalate CoC2O4·2H2O can be used in making nanoparticles of cobalt metal, for making pigments, as components of electrode materials and as catalyst in synthesis of inorganic and organic substances. The method of producing dihydrate of cobalt (II) oxalate CoC2O4·2H2O involves preparation a reaction aqueous solution containing cobalt (II) sulphate, chloride and nitrate, precipitation of cobalt oxalate, separation of the obtained precipitate from the solution and its drying, where the precipitation agent used is a strongly basic gel anionite AB-17-8 in oxalate form.
EFFECT: obtaining high-purity desired product which does not contain anion and cation impurities.
