FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method and system for recuperation and (or) cooling at least in one electrolysis cell for manufacturing of metal, particularly aluminium, where cell (-s) are outfitted by one or several heat exchangers, and where heat exchanging carrier circulates through mentioned heat exchanger(s) and further is directed at least for one block of heat conversion, such as turbine-expander. Turbine-expander is mechanically connected to compressor, which feeds into cells heat-exchanging carrier. In one version of implementation the second turbine is connected to one generator, which can be applied for manufacturing of electric power. System is essentially propulsive, and heat exchanging carrier in preference is air, fed into open circuit, that provides ability of application of turbocompressors, available, cheap enough and allowing long life.
EFFECT: new method of recuperation.
