FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to heat exchange, and namely to heat transfer surfaces containing many elements with heating surfaces in the form of corrugated metal plates. Bundle of elements with heating surface with the main direction; at that, the above bundle includes the first element with heating surface and having herringbone structure; the latter includes many sections; those sections are arranged so that boundary between them lies along the above main direction, and the above many sections contain the first section having many waves located in longitudinal direction near each other, and longitudinal length of the above waves in the above first section is located at an angle of more than 0° and less than 90° to the above main direction, and the above many sections also contain the second section adjacent to the above fist section, and the above second section has many waves located in longitudinal direction near each other, and longitudinal length of the above waves in the above second section is located at an angle of less than 0° and more than -90° to the above main direction; the above bundle also contains the second element with heating surface, the above second element with heating surface includes a slot passing along the above main direction, the above slot is located so that it does not stand directly against the boundary between the above first and second sections. Waves are rather located at an angle of 15° to 35° to the main gas flow direction. When used in combination with the element with heating surface and having slots, the wave preferably crosses not more than one opposite slot before it changes its direction.
EFFECT: eliminating offset flow and restricting flow cross dispersion.
