SUBSTANCE: invention may be used in systems of spent gases exhaust of internal combustion engine. Method of manufacture of repeatedly profiled foil includes performance of at least the following stages: A) foil processing with pressure with production of the first profile structure of the first width; B) processing of foil provided with primary profile structure with pressure for preparation of secondary profile structure; C) processing of profiled foil with pressure for giving second width to the primary profile structure, which is less than its first width, at that the first height of the primary profile structure on completion of A) stage amounts to less than 80%, first of all 60%, from its second height on completion of B) stage. Method is given for manufacture of metal cell element, as well as tool for production of repeatedly profiled foil.
EFFECT: increase of efficiency.
