FIELD: physics, control.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automatic control systems. The result is achieved by switching the control system into open mode. A pulsed test signal is transmitted to the input of the object. Transient process parametres are measured and then used to determine parametres of the assumed model of the control object. Parametres of the model are then used to determine regulator setup parametres and the system with optimum setup parametres is switched to operating mode. The test signal used is a pulsed signal with adjustable amplitude, polarity and duration. Characteristic points of the transient process arising from the test signal are determined. The following points are taken: maximum value A of the modulus the output difference of the object and its initial value, time Tmax to attaining the said value, time Tbeg at which the modulus of the output difference of the object and its initial value reach 5% of the maximum value A, as well as time Tend at which the modulus of the output difference of the object and its initial value fall to 70% of the maximum value. Parametres of the assumed control object are determined from the said characteristic points using auxiliary functions. Optimum setup of the regulator is done using the maximum degree of stability criterion.
EFFECT: lower level and shorter time for agitation caused by the test signal during setup of an automatic control system and increased noise immunity.
