FIELD: physics, signalling.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems for diagnosing the state of railway automation and telemechanics devices. The method involves collection of discrete and/or analogue data on the state of railway automation and telemechanics devices, converting analogue signals into digital, determination of the "on/off" state of the said devices, transmission of the collected data on the said devices over digital communication channels to an automated workstation and using software to monitor and assess technical state of the said devices. Measured analogue signals are transmitted to the input of a centralised multifunctional measuring device. The centralised multifunctional measuring device converts analogue signals into digital and transmits them to a digital communication channel. The "on/off" state of discrete railway automation and telemechanics devices is determined in circuits with different ranges of alternating or direct voltage for presentation of discrete data. The device has discrete data collection units, an analogue measurement system, a controller and automated workstations. The discrete data collection units are based on a multiplexer and a comparator. The analogue measurement system consists of a selected measurement subsystem and a switched measurement subsystem.

EFFECT: safer connection and exclusion of the effect of monitoring devices on diagnosed railway automation and telemechanics devices.
