SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cellular communication systems. A method and a device for controlling connection identifiers (CID) in a relay communication system with broadband wireless access (BWA) with multiple frequency tuning are disclosed. A base station (BS) combines data addressed to a relay station (RS) and data to be relayed to a mobile station (MS) through the RS in the payload, distinguishing data according to their CID, attaches relay CID to the payload and transmits the payload with relay CID to the RS. Among payload data, the RS processes its data relays data addressed to the MS to the MS distinguishing then according to their CID.
EFFECT: efficient control of data addressed to RS and data to be relayed to MS through RS.
