SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an image processing device. The technical result is achieved due to that the image processing device includes the following: a detection module which can detect the motion vector from an input image signal acting as the image signal for each chronologically entered pixel; a definition module which can determine whether the level of the input image signal corresponds to a given condition; and an interpolation module which is such that, if it is determined that the input image signal does not satisfy a given condition, then the interpolation module interpolates and gives out an intermediate signal for the input image signal lying in a given point in time between the input image signal and a previous input image signal preceding the input image signal in accordance the motion vector, and if it is determined that the input image signal satisfies the given condition, the interpolation module provides the possibility of giving out an input image signal without changes as an intermediate signal for the input image signal.
EFFECT: improved image signal quality of an interpolated image.
