FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to recovery and hardening of machine part surfaces using filler materials in electrochemical process to produce wear resistant heterogeneous coat with antifriction properties. Used filler material represents low-carbon and medium-carbon steel wire. Note here that electromechanical upsetting of part surface and welding on are performed in two steps, i.e. first, a groove is produced for low-carbon steel wire to be welded thereto, then another groove is made for medium-carbon steel wire to be welded thereto to produce alternating sections on part surface, hard and not that hard sections.
EFFECT: higher surface quality.
