FIELD: production of a keyed joint.

SUBSTANCE: upsetting and subsequent smoothing are carried out with electrode tools, the trajectories of which coincide. Grooves are obtained with protrusion in the side surface along the keyway at a distance of 1.5-4 mm from the groove to the bottom of the groove. The minimum value of the specified distance is greater than the size of the key bevel by 0.9 mm. The key is installed in the keyway and electromechanical upsetting of the metal of the keyway is carried out with electrode tool located at an angle of 46-50° to the vertical plane.

EFFECT: efficiency of upsetting and expansion of the upper part of the keyway is improved, and the gap in the lower side part of the keyway is also eliminated.
