FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to abrasive processing and can be used in producing discrete grinding wheels. Solid grinding wheel has radial holes arranged on cutting surface in lines parallel to wheel rotational axis. Said radial holes are arranged in alternating, short and long lines, displaced for half the axial spacing Tax of their shift towards lines. Said axial spacing Tax and radius of radial holes r are selected to satisfy the conditions, i.e. 3r< Tax <4r and r>L/2, where L is the arc length of wheel-to-workpiece contact.
EFFECT: higher accuracy and quality.
