FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to abrasive processing and can be used in making grinding wheels with discrete cutting surface. Sampling method of cutting tool surface consists in cutting of radial holes it on its working cylindrical surfaces by concentrated energy flow. When cutting each hole jet is moved along segment of straight lines parallel to axis of symmetry of cross section of radial holes, and shortest distance of endpoints sections from radial hole is kept equal to radius of contact spot of jet with abrasive material. On reverse working strokes sections jet is moved along segment of straight lines with inclination to abscissa at angle defined by enclosed formula.
EFFECT: maintaining initial structure of abrasive material and higher efficiency of cutting holes and their geometrical accuracy.
