FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: efficiency is increased by expanding the field of physical characteristics of radio signals used in polarisation-sensitive localisation of a multibeam field with an unknown number of beams on the background of noise and interference, using a generalised criterion of the shape of the wave front as an identification feature of polarisation-sensitive localisation, using new polarisation-sensitive processing operations which enable determination of the number of beams, direction of arrival and polarisation type of each beam of localised radio signals.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of spatial localisation of sources of multibeam radio signals in conditions of prior uncertainty relative the beam structure, polarisation and spatial parametres of radio signals, noise and interference.
