FIELD: information technologies.

SUBSTANCE: description and drawings represent a new method, system, device and software product for setting of preamble length (for instance, preamble of power control) for discontinuous transmission along control channel with application for transmission of preamble of, for instance dedicated physical control channel (DPCCH). Length of preamble may be optimised with application of earlier specified criterion depending on duration of transmission interruption (which may vary) in discontinuous control signal (sent, for instance along DPCCH channel) or in discontinuous signal of data sent, for instance along improved dedicated channel (E-DCH), and/or on duration of transmission time interval (TTI) for data. Besides power in preamble may be varied in time with application of additional previously specified criterion.

EFFECT: battery energy saving, reduction of mutual noise and high throughput capacity.
