FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy, namely to methods for production of shaped castings of alloys from aluminium-silicon system under low pressure and may be used in metallurgical and machine-building plants that use low pressure casting for alloys from aluminium-silicon system. Casting is carried out under controlled pressure of less than 1 bar, and cooling in process of crystallisation is carried out with the rate of 0.6-1.8 K/s. After crystallisation structure of castings is obtained, which contains solid solution of alloying elements in aluminium, modified and non-modified eutectics and iron-containing phases: Fe2SiAl8 - α-phase, FeSiAl5 - β-phase, concentrations of which make as follows, in vol. %: solid solution of alloying elements in aluminium 22±3, modified eutectic 70±5, non-modified eutectic 8±2, and sum of iron-containing phases α and β- 0.7±0.2.
EFFECT: shaped castings are produced, which have high strength and plastic properties.
