FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, specifically to aluminum-based alloys, and can be used in production of shaped castings by various casting methods, in particular, discs of automobile wheels by low pressure casting. Cast aluminum-silicon alloy contains, by weight: silicon 10.5–11.5; strontium 0.02–0.08; magnesium 0.05–0.15; manganese 0.3–0.5; iron 0.3–0.5; aluminum and impurities – the rest, and has structure consisting of primary crystals of aluminum solid solution and modified aluminum-silicon eutectic, which includes strontium-containing phase, at least 90 % of total amount of iron is included in composition of aluminum-silicon eutectic as phase Al15(Fe,Mn)3Si2.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at creation of new economically-doped silumin intended for producing shaped castings of complex shape and possessing high and stable mechanical properties.
