FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction material industry and can be used when making wall objects, self-leveling floors, wall blocks, in making light, foamed and heavy concrete, dry construction mixtures meant for interior and exterior finishing of buildings. The sulfomagnesite binder contains the following in wt %: caustic magnesite powder - 60-65, product of neutralising sulphuric acid with serpentinite-magnesite 20.5-22.5, water - the rest.

EFFECT: reduced hygroscopicity of objects made from magnesite binder with simultaneous increase in their water resistance and optimisation of setting time.
