FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to safe methods of making water-resistant granulated industrial explosive substances. The method of making explosive substance involves mechanical mixture of granulated ammonium nitrate with diesel fuel, addition into the obtained mixture of ammonium nitrate powder in volume 5-10% less than the volume of inter-grain spacing or a mixture consisting of 79 wt % ammonium nitrate powder or 21 wt % trinitrotoluene, or a mixture consisting of 94 wt % ammonium nitrate powder and 6 wt % aluminium or magnesium, or ferrosilicon. The granulated ammonium nitrate, ammonium nitrate powder and diesel fuel are taken in stoichiometric ratio.
EFFECT: invention enables obtaining a high density explosive substance, with good explosive characteristics - detonation velocity, sensitivity to the trigger pulse, energy volume density.
