FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device for sedimentation analysis of wet grinding products and suspensions has a precipitation pipe at the bottom end of which there is a discharge valve, a measuring pipe with a pressure sensor and linked to the precipitation pipe with formation of free space over the discharge valve below the point for connection to the precipitation pipe, a sample accumulation chamber which is fitted with a valve for inlet of water and which passes in the bottom part to the sample inlet pipe which is fitted with a guide reflector and placed inside the precipitation pipe, a sampling tube connected to the sample accumulation chamber at its top. The device also has a level sensor and a vacuum pressure unit. The sample accumulation chamber is fitted with a return discharge valve. The level sensor is placed in the top part of the sample accumulation chamber and is functionally connected to the vacuum pressure unit. The water inlet valve is also linked to the sample accumulation chamber at its top.
EFFECT: broader functionalities owing to determination of not only grain-size composition of the analysed product but density of the product as well; increased reliability.
