FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: aircraft landing is provided. At a certain distance from the runway threshold on the side of the runway approach there are beacons, spaced on the sides of the runway approach. An inertial navigation system and an onboard receiver, a range unit, an altitude measuring device, a processing unit, a trajectory unit and a control system are installed onboard the aircraft. When the aircraft moves out of the coverage area of the beacons, range information together with information from the satellite radio navigation system and the inertial system and pressure altitude is processed in the processing unit. Accurate coordinate values of the position of the aircraft, obtained in the processing unit, are sent to the trajectory unit where deviation of the aircraft from the calculated trajectory of the runway approach is calculated, which in turn is sent to the flight and runway approach control system of the aircraft.
EFFECT: increased accuracy and safety of landing aircraft on aerodromes.
