FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a processing line for food production such as sausage, ham or cheese. The line is made up of at least one processing unit, at least one packager and at least one transporting device and has a self-disinfecting and/or self-cleaning surface with hydrophobic and ultraphobic properties on at least one separate part of its surface. The surface has a constantly low content of microorganisms while hydrophobic and ultraphobic properties are given to the processing unit surface by structuring it and applying water-repellent coating.
EFFECT: it enables to avoid smoothing (polishing) the processing line surfaces which drastically reduces labour input ensuring a constantly low content of microorganisms.
