FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method for production of ship lengthy hollow shafts of large and medium diametres from low-magnet corrosion-resistant steels. Method includes production of bars, their heating up to plasticity temperature, rolling in Pilger mills into conversion cylindrical rough thick-walled pipes, their rolling in cold pipe-rolling mills HPT 450 or HPT 250 into cylindrical pipe-billets of required length, at the same time end sections of cylindrical pipe-billets are heated in inductor up to plasticity temperature, and one or two ends are extruded in extrusion machine, and bulge ends are mechanically treated with their further polishing to achieve specified geometric dimensions, length of cylindrical pipe billets Lc is defined from the following expression: Lc =LC.P.+n(Pbulge/Pc-Lbulge), where Pbulge - weight of extruded bulge end, kg; Pc -weight of 1 running metre of cylindrical pipe with size of 280×25 mm, kg/m; Lbulge - length of bulge end, m; LC.P. - length of conversion pipe for mechanical treatment, m; n - number of extruded ends, pcs., extrusion of the first end is carried out in accordance with geometric dimensions of finished product with allowance for mechanical treatment, the second end is extruded to produce overall length of conversion pipe billet, and length of bulge end is produced by means of mechanical treatment.
EFFECT: invention provides for considerable reduction of labour intensiveness and metal consumption ratio in process of ship shafts, and accordingly, reduction of their cost.
