FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of preparing an afterburning catalyst in industry and motor cars. Described is a method of preparing a nanocatalyst for oxidation of carbon oxide, involving impregnation with γ-Al2O3 solution which contains ions of platinum-group metals obtained from precursor ions of platinum-group metals and cationic surfactants through extraction and floatation extraction from wastes with subsequent reduction in direct and reverse micelles to nanoparticles, destruction of the dispersion of reverse micelles by centrifuging to seperate nanoparticles of platinum-group metals with the surfactant in an aqueous solution, bringing the pH of the solution to 9-11, preparation of an aqueous paste of γ-Al2O3 with pH=9-11 with subsequent drying in air or under a vacuum and burning at 500-550°C. A composition containing 2-5% nanoparticles of platinum-group metals and 95-98% γ-Al2O3 in the catalyst is obtained using the described method.
EFFECT: obtaining a highly active catalyst for deep oxidation of carbon oxide.
