FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to remove CO generated in the regeneration processes of catalytic cracking catalysts occurring at temperatures of 600÷700°C. The catalyst was prepared on the basis of platinum group metal nanoparticles deposited on a solid support by laser electrodispersion to provide an amorphous nanoparticle structure of at least 90% nanoparticles in the range of 1.5-3.0 nm and the amount of platinum group metal no more than 0.005 wt %.
EFFECT: catalyst has an increased specific activity in the process of high-temperature oxidation of CO with a reduced content of an expensive platinum group metal in it.
