FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of processing wastes from production of polyurethane foam (PUF) which are added to a polyol component for subsequent use in making polyurethane foam. The said method involves mechanical breakdown of solid wastes using cutting machines known as choppers. To ensure homogeneity and the required mechanical properties of the end product - polyurethane foam, the wastes are crushed in the griners 1…5 times and the obtained mass (powder) is passed through a sieve.
EFFECT: method enables recycling of solid polyurethane foam wastes using a simple method without complex equipment, heating and additional decomposition agents, thereby ensuring environmental safety of the process.
