FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises mounting gas generator and free turbine on foundation frame, arranging coupling unit between said gas generator and free turbine, said unit consisting of bellows. It comprises also attaching one side of aforesaid coupling unit to gas generator housing or that of free turbine. Then gas generator and free turbine are arranged on said mounting frame at mounting distance, and coupling unit with bellows is attached to gas generator or free turbine housing. Final attachment of gas generator and free turbine is effected at mounting distance selected from relationship protected by this invention. In attaching aforesaid coupling unit, aforesaid bellows is expanded towards gas turbine drive shaft for amount determined by afore mentioned relationship to eliminate mounting clearances between coupling unit and gas generator and free turbine housings.
EFFECT: reduced load in coupling unit, unloaded bellows, bellows longer life.
