SUBSTANCE: communication based on the When-Free principle enables users to send When-Free messages, which almost act as instantaneous messages which wait until the user or recipient is not in any of states from a list of states defined as busy or inaccessible. When-Free versions enable recipients to set strategies for handling messages if inaccessibility continues after a certain time threshold, including generation of automatic replies and replacing instant messages with email messages by moving the conversation stream into the email inbox for subsequent browsing and replying through email or initiation of an instant message exchange session which continues from the point where connection was stopped.

EFFECT: broader functionalities due to instant message exchange and other forms of communication owing to use of strategies and parametres with limited time.
