FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine and medical equipment and can be used for plastic surgery operations. Surgical thread for tissue tightening contains throughput part and multiple sharp projections on each side from throughput part. Throughput part does not have projections, and projections from both sides from throughput part have inclination towards throughput part. Thread has end zones on its ends, on which there are no sharp projections. Throughput part is 4 cm long, sharp projections occupy in fact 20 cm of length on each side from throughput part, and length of end zones constitutes 10-15 cm, which results in the following: when thread is bent in throughput part said throughput part ensures capture of part of the tissue subjected to tightening. Also claimed is method of performing plastic surgery operations with application of claimed surgical thread which includes passing of thread under skin through tissue in such way, that thread is bent back, forming a loop. After that tension of thread is regulated from both ends of the tread, which project from two separate points of outlet, in order to ensure desired tightening. Projections resist tightening of thread in direction towards point of inlet, throughput part being on bend.
EFFECT: non-invasive procedure and unnoticeable gentle face tightening, which is reliably preserved for many years.
