FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: frameless high-rolling mill includes working rolls installed on the frame in carriages on bearing assemblies, control mechanism of the gap between rolls with reduction drive, which is installed on four screws with differently directed thread, which connect the carriages in pairs. Axial adjustment mechanism is located on each roll and made in the form of double leverage system, the right and left two-arm levers of which are installed in pairs on separate axes fixed on the frame; at that, some arms of the levers are provided with possibility of interacting with spherical inserts located on the housing of bearing assembly of the roll, and the others - with hinged nuts with differently directed thread; at that, nuts are connected to each other with rods with appropriate different direction of thread and the ends and the middle of the surface of which have ready-to-operate sections for them to be rotated.
EFFECT: providing more accurate setting of rolls on pass, obtaining rolled products of high accuracy, increasing operability and lifetime, as well as possible axial adjustment of rolls in case frameless mills are used as vertical ones.
