FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry. Proposed method comprises water heating and steam generation, feeding fuel and water into combustion chamber. In compliance with this invention, water heating and steam liberation occur in heat-isolated tank wherein water is preliminary poured to be heated by radiator arranged inside said tank. Cooling liquid bled from engine circulated in said tank. Water is also heated by exhaust gases coming through the line furnished with thermal valve at increasing flow rate caused by increasing density and viscosity at increasing temperature. The latter occurs due to reducing surface tension caused by rarefaction brought about by piston back stroke, produced steam is mixed with hot exhaust gases. Mix of exhaust gas and steam comes into heat accumulator wherein heating and catalysis occur due to contact with nickel catalyst followed by further motion into suction duct.
EFFECT: higher engine efficiency, reduced harmful effects of exhaust gases.
