FIELD: physics, computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to data process control, and more specifically to control of multiple-address routing in a cluster which has status synchronisation. The master device of the cluster actively participates in multiple-address information exchange over a control protocol with neighbouring cluster nodes, when the slave node-member device does not participate in protocol operations outside the cluster. Nevertheless, each cluster member supports virtually the same protocol status provided that, if the master device were to become inaccessible, another cluster member would assume the role of the master device with minimal delay. Members new to the cluster are synchronised by receiving initial information on protocol status from the master device. After synchronisation of the initial protocol status, cluster members actively keep watch over the network to obtain new information on protocol status. Also cluster members exchange information on protocol status which may be inaccessible outside the network. Multiple-address data packets are filtered by each cluster member to level the load of multiple-address data traffic through the cluster members.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of synchronisation.
