SUBSTANCE: method involves mixing food base with at least one long chain polyunsaturated fatty acid, thermal treatment of the resultant mixture at a temperature no less than 50°C to produce a food compound, adding to the food compound a second amount of at least one long chain polyunsaturated fatty acid protected against oxidation and packaging the resultant mixture in a low oxygen environment to produce a food product. The amount of long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids jointly ensures bioefficient amount of long chain polyunsaturated fatty acid(s). The product storage life is at least 6 months. The packaged dry food product contains a compound that contains a food base and a bioefficient amount of at least one long chain polyunsaturated fatty acid in a low oxygen environment in a sealed container.
EFFECT: invention enables production of a stable food compound containing long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids whose storage life is at least 6 months.
