FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to continuous casting of metals. Proposed plant (1) has casting chamber (10) between wide side plates and narrow side plate (13). Narrow plates accommodate piston-cylinder assembly (16) that makes actuator and supports, position of the later being measured by field measuring instruments (13). Note here that measurement data are written as bus signals, via field bus modules (22), into control unit (23) of continuous casting plant (1) and, being processed into control signals, are transmitted back into actuators. To register measurement data directly at crystalliser (6) and process it in-situ, it is proposed to connect appropriate hydraulic cylinder (16a) to gate stand (24) with stationary terminal box (25) for measurement and control signal lines (28). Note here that terminal box (25) is connected to axial controller (30). Field bus module (3) transmits signals from said controller to control device (31).
