FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to prepare clad material, in particular for vehicles heat exchangers. In compliance with proposed method, to prepare substrate material, ingot is produced by melting and casting. To prepare surface material, ingot is produced by melting and casting the metal that differs from that of substrate material. Surface material ingot is arranged to preset position on one or both sides of substrate material ingot to produce multi-layer material. Cladding is effected by hot rolling. Surface material can produced by cutting made ingot to ensure certain thickness. Surface material can be composed of multiple layers.
EFFECT: higher process efficiency due to easier control over surface state and clad material layer, good adhesion between clad material layers.
