FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the industry of ceramic materials, mainly to compositions of mixtures for making bricks. The ceramic mixture for making ceramic bricks contains low-melting clay and alumocalcium sludge obtained from treating wastes from ethyl- and isopropylbenzene production with the following ratio of components in wt %: SiO2 - 2.3; Al2O3 - 61.1; Fe2O3 - 1; CaO - 4.4; MgO - 4.2; R2O - 19.8; percentage of other impurities - 5.3, with the following ratio of components in wt %: low-melting clay - 70-90; aluminium alkaline sludge obtained from treating ethyl- and isopropylbenzene production wastes - 10-30.
EFFECT: increased mechanical compression strength and frost resistance, reduced water absorption and burning temperature of products.
