FIELD: industry of ceramic materials.
SUBSTANCE: ceramic mixture for making porcelain stoneware contains, wt. %: kaolin clay 30–50; feldspar concentrate 40–50; alumino-alkaline sludge obtained during treatment of effluents from production of ethyl- and isopropylbenzene, 10–20. Used kaolin clay has chemical composition, wt. %: SiO2 59.10; Al2O3 24.70; Fe2O3 1.80; CaO 1.90; MgO 0.86; R2O 1.30; p.o.i. (percentage of other impurities) 10.34. Feldspar concentrate has chemical composition, wt. %: SiO2 69.82; Al2O3 17.24; Fe2O3 0.18; CaO 0.54; MgO 0.44; R2O 11.41; p.o.i. 0.37. Said alumino-alkaline sludge has chemical composition, wt. %: SiO2 5.2; Al2O3 60.1; Fe2O3 1.0; CaO 4.4; MgO 4.2; R2O 19.8; p.o.i. 5.3.
EFFECT: increased ultimate bending strength, recycling of industrial wastes, wider raw material base for ceramic materials.
