SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the industry of ceramic materials, mainly to the compositions of masses for the production of earthquake-resistant ceramic bricks. The ceramic mass for the manufacture of ceramic bricks includes aluminum-alkali sludge obtained during the treatment of effluents of ethyl- and isopropylbenzene production, and additionally contains waste of combustible shale-low-melting clay with an oxide content, weight percentage: SiO₂ 46.10; Al₂O₃ 15.14; Fe₂O₃ 5.70; CaO 11.05; MgO 2.40; R₂O 3.80; LOI 15.81 with the following ratio of components, weight percentage: waste of oil shale-fusible clay 70-90, aluminum-alkaline sludge obtained during the treatment of effluents of ethyl- and isopropylbenzene production 10-30.

EFFECT: increasing the frost resistance of bricks, expanding the raw material base for ceramic materials.
