FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: earthquake-resistant building is a modular panel construction, and in which separate modules representing single-storey blocks of streamlined bionic configuration with enclosures of double curvature, includes separate compartments attached to each other with elastic ties and combined with a common passage; at that, all the compartments facing the school grounds are equipped with door openings; at that, it is equipped with multi-layered base in which the lower layer represents two platforms between which there arranged are metal balls attached to lower platform by means of springs; at that, some of the balls are equipped with two piston-rods hinged on both sides of the ball with one end, and with the other to the handwheel installed permanently on lower platform and equipped with crank shaft with bell cranks, which in its turn is connected to gear box being a multiplier and made with possibility of torque transfer to electric generator installed permanently on lower platform and connected by the wire to accumulator located on ground level and connected to automated control system the sensors and drives of which at destructive impact and vibration of balls provide automatic opening of external doors in compartments of the building and sound-and-light warning signal while the intermediate layer of foundation represents fortitudes being the devices made of reinforced-concrete panels combined with metallic linkages installed above and on the side of platforms with balls and directed with their peaks towards hypocentre of probable sources of earthquakes; at that, layer with fortitudes is filled with gravel in the massif of which there formed is a lens on the surface of which there laid are second-hand auto-tyres partially filled with elastic material and covered with rubber plugs; at that, auto-tyres are covered with a sand layer on which foundations of modules are installed.
EFFECT: decreasing danger to life and health of children in educational centres located in the area subject to earthquakes.
