ANALOG MULTIPLIER OF TWO SIGNALS Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC G06G7/16 H03F3/45

Abstract RU 2389073 C1

FIELD: radio engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention may be used in devices of automatic adjustment of amplification, phase detectors and modulators, and also in systems of phase self-tuning and multiplication of frequency or as amplifier, voltage transfer coefficient of which depends on the level of control signal. Analog multiplier of signals (APS) is the basic unit of up-to-date systems for receiving and processing of signals from HF and SHF ranges, analog computer and metering equipment. Conditions are created for direct four-quadrant multiplication of measured coordinate of channel "Y" ("Ф", B, F, P) by coordinate of channel "X" (ux), which may also be functionally related to non-electric signal "X". APS comprises multiplying cell (1) on the basis of two differential cascades having the first (2) and second (3) potential inputs of channel "X". The first (4) and second (5) current inputs of channel "Y". Load circuit (6) connected to the first (7) and second (8) current outputs of multiplying cell (1). The first (9) and second (10) current-stabilising two-terminal elements connected to according first (4) and second (5) current inputs of channel "Y", double-pole transformer (11) of "signal of channel "Y"-current", connected to the second (5) current input of channel "Y". Multiplying cell (1) comprises the first (14) and second (15) auxiliary current outputs, output currents of which are proportional to according input current of the first (4) and second (5) current inputs of channel "Y", besides the first (14) auxiliary current output is connected to source of power supply, and the second (15) auxiliary current output is connected to input of additional current amplifier (16), output of which is connected to the first (4) current input of channel "Y".

EFFECT: reduced voltage of supply and error of multiplication.
