FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: there is disclosed system for passive propagation and suppression of an alarm signal in a communication network. The system includes a packet switched system, which includes one network subgroup which provides network interaction with another network group/groups. This network has a first boundary node and a second boundary node, a first subscriber point connected to the first boundary node, and a second subscriber point connected to the second boundary node, while the first provider boundary node contains a replicate alarm signal suppression table (RASST).
EFFECT: design of a universal system in a packet switched network which determines whether to send an emergency status signal information message to a subscriber point or suppress it.
