FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to vertebrology and neurosurgery and can be applied for choosing a surgery technique for the patients with thoracolumbar passage spinal injures. It involves determination of the parametres characterising a patients state: vertebra compression ratio, kyphosis angle, neurological deficiency extent, and the following mathematical calculation of an integral index, age, sex, a somatic status, a significant accompanying pathology, number of injured base columns, deficient spinal canal, fracture of zygapophysis, number of injured vertebras and pelvic dysfunction. Said parametres are scored and summed to choose a therapy: transpedicular system or ventral correction and corporodesis or combined fixation.

EFFECT: method allows improving objectivity when choosing the therapy, providing the reliable fixation.
